yum.... intercoolers.

I want to see what the Subaru version is like. only because i've been trying to talk myself into getting the new Legacy GT and I love the thought of 4wd in my next car.

Almost looks like the Toyota bumper (looking at the lower vents) is like our preface whereas the Subie bumper is like our facelift.

its copied from the FT-86 photo, see the shadows on interior. also all the 7tune design sketches are "A GUESS", dont take them seriously!! here are almost all 7tune sketches of ft-86

i still feel some kinda way about toyota being happy with the watered down N/A version while subaru gets the glory of both versions.... since plans still seem up in the air put the damn 4th gen into it!! UGH!!!

QUOTE (Galcobar @ Oct 15, 2008 - 2:44 AM)You want power but have no money. That's a problem.Cheap. Reliable. Fast. Pick two.
they could've just incorporated the secondary handbrake caliper with the main caliper like how Hondas have them.. the 2nd caliper is extra unwanted weight

That is EXACTLY what I want to hear. Screw power. As long as it has this, I'm game.

THIS.

Also, lack of power can be corrected...being fat and overweight is much harder to fix.

Has no more Celicas
This project has been on the drawing board for a decade and what I find peculiar is that with every "official" press release the release date seems to be pushed further and further. First it was late 2010 then it because early 2011 then it became late 2011 now its early 2012.. at this pace we will likely see this car in 2020?!

That second warehouse video was really boring, but it was also very exciting in the fact that it had a the last 3 generations of the Celica in the video behind the FT-86 concept. That made my heart feel warm smile.gif.

I thought that was a 6gc, AE-86, and supra in the back

6GC, AE-86, and Supra like others said. wink.gif

But play this in the background right when you start the video, they match well together.

i'm surprised no one commented about the MR2 being missing from that picture

>The car is also likely to be marketed to older buyers than originally planned, too. The head of Toyota’s newly created sports vehicle department, Tetsuya Tada, told Autocar that his team had increased the target age group by 10 years, from the 30s to 40s, after market research revealed that fewer younger buyers would opt for the sleek coupé than first thought.

Then why is it that this situation is allllllll to possible.

OH I'LL TELL YOU WHY, because damn 'Yota believes to market their damn vehicles towards people who just want to get from point A to point B in the cheapest way possible, instead of marketing toward people who want the funnest experience for their money to from A to B. DAMN YOU TOYOTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

... no but actually I agree with you.

so they are aiming it at mid life crisis folk? why would a 30 year not buy a sports car if they wanted one? sounds like a load of BS to, maybe they just say things like this to get people talking about the car again and drum up even more interest when talk of it quietens down a bit, wonder if there is a thread on an official Toyota forum atm about the FT-86 with people in their 30's going ape at them for even suggesting they wouldn't be interested in a sports car

i dont think its Toyota that wants to be talked about, its just Autocar.co.uk . Theyre not the first and not the last ones to publish an article with BS just to get backlinks from all over the world. FT-86 is a hot and mysterious topic right now and people can say whatever they like and still they gain publicity. Be ready for articles like these for the next 20 months..
im not saying its 100% lies, im saying that I absolutely dont trust this stuff at all
