looks good!

silicone intakes is a great company!

2nd Gen 3s-gte.... It lives!97celiman"92-gt-quit making up random acronyms that dont mean anything. the only real acronym is JDM"
Not quite sure which one is more exciting...lol

Got the Koyo rad today, and went ahead and put it in since my old radiator was thrashed. I'll post pics up tomorrow. Too dark to see it right now.
why anyone would buy a setup from ebay, when we have a super reliable source here on the site, who actually owns celicas, and knows exactly what is needed and what isnt, is beyond me.

Grrrrrrr...I wish I had heard of JIM before I pulled the trigger. I will def be going to him in the future for all of my parts needs.
Pic of the Koyorad. I've got it installed on the 5s. I still need to get new pusher fans so that I can fit the 3s without melting the stock plastic fan shrouds. I'd take a picture of it installed, but the 5s needs a good cleaning first due to coolant all over the engine bay.

you can just trim the shroud a bit to clear the compressor housing, it wont melt.
art (lagos) and others have the same type of rads with no issues, once you trim the shroud.

Got a few things today

ARP Rod Bolts

Rear Main Seal

Distributor Seal

ATS Racing Thermostat 170 degree

Timing Belt

Spark Plug Seal

Valve Cover Seal

Camshaft Seals

More to come. There are so many gaskets I still need to buy.
Cleaned up the heat cover yesterday. This is how it turned out. Going to paint it today after I wash it.

Quick question. Since my compression is being raised from 8.5.1 to 9.1 should I go a spark plug heat range lower? ie/ bkr7eix vs. bkr6eix?
I am using the NGK BKR7E spark plugs. Have always been recommended these for my gtfours.

current project: looking :(
So you are running the normal copper plugs? Anybody use platinum or iridium in theirs? And you are sure that a 7 heat range will be fine for raised compression?

Lol, I almost purchased mine from ebay myself, but then I started to notice on multiple auctions they were using the same pics, with labels on them saying actual pic. Obviouslly not the case =P My other issue with the ebay swaps was the price, yea its cheap, but that made me think something was wrong or deceptive about them.

Jim is a great guy for the swaps, where i'm getting mine. Been helpful all the way through and through. Pretty much grabbing everything I need for the swap from him. Go with him if you decide on a 2nd cellie!

Congratz on the swap in progress, can't wait til its done! Using your thread as a guide line for my swap coming up soon.
I appreciate the support. I've been trying to keep the thread updated as best as possible, but the fact is, these types of things are slow going unless you have an awesome job. I wish you the best of luck with your swap as well, and yes JIM is a great reliable source.

Few updates....no pictures....sorry. I will post picks when all is done.

I took the crank out to be cleaned and polished today. Went to toyota to buy more freaking seals, learned that the 3rd gen oil pump is unique, and that I cannot use the high flow one from ATS. (I'll have to figure out how to clean mine without effing it up). At this very moment I am in the process of applying coats of 2000 degree primer and base to my manifold cover, and I'm using the trd bar that I purchased to begin the mock-up (in steel first) of new-affordable aluminum strut tower braces that will accomodate st205 swaps using the stock watercooler. (I'll post pics when my prototype is done)
Pics of the painted manifold cover.

What on earth are these?

The TVSV system.

It's my understanding that this can be deleted. Is that correct?

yup.
if your planning on running a boost controller, you would normally just bypass it, but you can totally remove it and the associated lines, and just leave the plug unplugged without issue.

Well I have a few small updates...

My car got backed into about 2 weeks ago. I just went to see it today at the body shop, and they were successfully able to match 17 year old paint. Broke my heart when it happened because I was afraid that the car would never be the same. Thank god this is a great body shop.

I also bought the intercooler that I'm going to use for my set up. Got a great deal on it locally.

Ben, swap is looking very keen, from the way you built that thing....it should handle some big #'s man,
get to work! i heard your neighbor hasn't been pissed lately..so you're not doing your job.
Oh dont you worry im master-minding! The neighbor cant complain. We have tied him up.
Small update for all of you *teaser*

Thanks for the bumper in regards to "block"

Better get to work!
AJ, I hope to have the bumper fitted for the meet in August. It's going to be a TON of work.

Word to the wise:

If anyone is considering doing a gt4 front end conversion you need to try the best you can to get a bumper/hood/fenders in the color of your car, and don't be afraid to spend a little extra for items in great condition. I have a green car, and there are no gt4 bumpers that I have seen in my color.

I've spent just as much on paint supplies as I have on the bumper itself.

Get the right color the first time and spend a little extra for quality.......then you will have spent less in the end.

I will update with pics on the progress of the bumper reformation. Paint/Primer remover, Surface Prep, Adhesion Promotion, Primer, Sanding, Paint, Clear, and Orange Peel Removal.
Looking forward to pics and updates Ben.

Good luck buddy.

Has no more Celicas
Thanks Brian, I'm up to my eyeballs in car projects. I love it. btw I drove through fayetteville a while back and tried to call you to see if you wanted to meet up. And also if you're in need of my hood it may be up for grabs soon.
