wow thats nice!!! really liking it... Cant wait to hopefully hear her 2morro. Nice angry mike and doc glad i came to u guys!

glad you like it. wish i had an exhuast like that.

there wasn't any super crazy bends either. i tried to keep it as "free flowing" as possible. should pick you up some ponies for sure.
thats how my exhaust was done too.. the right way imo smile.gif considering 3" is already a little overkill for our swaps, (yeah yeah, i know with a turbo no backpressure is needed) the "flow" should be just fine

Nice lil swap going on here... can't wait to see it finished... Although I could go for staying on topic a bit more often... Great work doc
So can any1 give me ideas on what my next future upgrades should be on her when i get money together again? like what would benefit me most in the hp gain?

Follow the standard "BPU" upgrades that the MR2 turbo guys do. You already are well on your way - intercooler, full exhaust, etc.

2003 Subaru WRX Wagon1989 Camry Alltrac LE 3S-GTE - SV25/ST205 hybrid1988 Camry Alltrac LE - BEAMS swap started
as HP goes up traction goes down..

j/k not always like that but it happens

Piggyback ECU and tune, then high density intercooler, than turbo upgrade.

tweaks got the right idea

it all depends on your hp goal though.

if all you want is 350~450 on pump, i would go with a t3/t460trim, gt3076, gt35 or sc61. depends on your $$$. i personally would put a sc61 with a stage 5 wheel on it. one of my favorite turbos. its a gt35 compressor on a t3 hot side made by precision turbo.

you can get them for about $850. the rebuild kits are the same as t3/t4's so servicing in the future is cheap and easy. you can always go ball bearing too. honda guys have put down over 650whp with these turbos. most people run them at about 350~400whp (15~20psi on pump).

you would probably see 20 psi on your stock motor by about 4000~4500 rpm.

a better exhaust manifold and downpipe would be pretty helpfull as well.

custom garrett high denisty intercooler core. somthing like a 18X12X4 core with a dual pass tanks would work pretty well.
hey angry mike do u have pics of my car on the ground?

once you own a swap, its mandatory that you become a member of mr2oc.com. you will learn everything you need to know about what mods you should do in the future.

You don't have to remove the head to replace the valve seals.
Guides yes.
Seals no.

Yes there is a tool that can hold the valves in place with air but you still have to remove the timing belt to remove the cams so you can remove the springs and change the seals.

^^^--- So True.

its a gt42r

this is his new setup. he was running a blowzilla (t4/gt40) before. his timing belt slipped and he bent a valve, which ultimatly opended pandoras box.

hes shooting for 1000whp. he should get it pretty easy.

i wouldn't say "pretty" easily since it takes a fairly large budget and enormous amount of work to get that much from these motors

I believe his whole point is that with his fairly large budget and enormous amount of work that he's putting into it, he should get it pretty easy.

bingo!

everything is built for it. all hes got to do at this point is finish up the little things, get a tune and push the gas pedal.

hes running gas this year and supposedly alcohol next year. not sure yet.

all i know is i can't wait to get a ride in it.
yea that car sounds like its gonna be sick as hell. Maybe someday i can get that much hp outa my celica!!! lol
Got your car back yet 2slow?

Angrymike - I have an MR2 friend who is in the market for a WTA IC. How much would you make a copy of that setup for? Let me know what other other parts he would need [ie pump, heat exchanger etc.] Also where would he mount the heat exchanger? In the now unused side scoop where the stock IC was?
We were thinking to get our hands on a ST-205 setup but if yours is cost effective this may be the better wya to go. It appears to have temendous volume but it's hard to tel from those pics.
