def should man. We could def use two sickass celicas 10 mins apart in the same area. Show them ppl wats realy up at dd and what not.
Not to be nitpicky, but why is your fusebox exposed and looks like its been split in two?

To make room for the battery and cruise control, I'm assuming from looking at the picture and how its ziptied Since I do believe he wanted to retain the stock options. Or it couldve just been broken.
It was broken, I told 2slow about it but we couldn't locate one before finishing the swap, and it works for now so when he finds one it won't be hard to swap in. I don't know what that other shop thought they were doing breaking the fusebox in half!

i thought it was bad to mount the AFM on it side?
skewed readings from movement and gravity and the weight of the door and the strength of the spring. anyone?

Info to back this up? I've seen them mounted sideways a number of times and have never heard of a problem.

it messes with the throttle response because gravity helps pull it more open then it should be.

15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
its spring loaded. if the spring is worn out i could see that, but its not.

it will be fine.

i guess its good when the little stuff is being nitpicked.

umm its physics even if its a brand new spring..

the force of the flapper <-> on the spring is less than
when the flapper is resting on the spring vertically.

dont even try to argue that cause i can break out all my nice physics equations for that smile.gif

and its the little things that matter the most........

its not that it wont work on its side. it will. but it works best when laying flat.
but i guess you would know better then people who drive their swaps on a daily basis and have tried this before. kindasad.gif

15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
yeah the difference is minimal, i was just pointing it out.
its the typical internet you shoulda did this/that stuff,
everyone has there own way.
either way i'm not criticizing, congrats.

ok thanks i appreciate every1s input. Its not a hard thing to change so if it does for some reason stop my performance or anything i can just turn it to be flat no probs their. Im just happy thats the car is done and doc did a great job geting it done. Seeing that the wiring was horrible shape and so was the whole car when he got it.

gotta love having the dyno right there at your disposal!
good work!

Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)13.6@108MPH, 5SFTE Powered
pretty nice numbers. now how about turning up the boost?

ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.
I love the color of your car! Whats the color called?
they don't call me angry mike for nothing.

i'm trying to keep a customer happy, so i'm obviously going to defend my work.

it made decent numbers even with the maf on its side. what do you know, it worked.

No dude, no. It would have made at least 97.3 more horsepower if it was mounted flat. Plus, the dyno is dirty, so the numbers are probably off. biggrin.gif
