Palisades Interstate Park:
You can get to it from the Palisades Parkway, Rt 9W, River Road. It goes along the Hudson River and theres plenty of picnic areas and parking lots. The road goes right under the George Washington Bridge at one point and would be a great place for pictures. (a few pics posted below)

Jersey Shore:
Stay the weekend at the beach

I'm down with wherever.

We should try to have regular meets, and change the location every now and then and see what we can come up with. As long as theres plenty of roads to drive, places for photos, food and fun, etc then I'm there.

EDIT: I just thought of something we should try before the summer is out- Jersey shore cruise/get together. Maybe go to Sandy Hook or LBI or something, and cruise the beach and enjoy a weekend that we KNOW will have nice weather. What do you guys think?

They should put up signs that say "beware of softball size rocks, laying in the road way"




10 minutes after the pictures hurley97 posted, we were going down the road and crested a hill.....there was a softball size piece of granite in the road, i tried to dodge it, [with the roads being wet, and narrow i didnt try really hard, in fear of going off the road/off the cliff to our left [no guardrails]] I hit the rock....and it resulted in that damage.

i know what road every well ... its nice on dry days.. but one days it rains or the day after its not really nice to drive one i think they close it sometimes too ... but i'm down for a meet

^ yeah it says it closes at dusk and ive seen it closed randomly before. i'll see if theres a pattern to the closings. if not i'll find out when we pick a date for this

i went to the lot right near the bridge but they wanted $5, it was about 5pm on a tues. we went yesterday around 4 and there wasnt anyone there asking for money...i'll try and find out whats going on with that. the Englewood lot has a sign that says parking $5 but there wasnt anyone there again (no one yesterday either) thats where i took the first two pics...

well there is one park right under the brige i know of .. they have hours like 6 - 9 during the summer... we can also meet up in that big parking lot in weehaken an then all drive down from there ... as for the date.. its best to just pic one date now an lete everyone adjust to it.... i say 2nd saturday in aug .

^i was leaning toward that weekend too so...
[for now] its set for Sat, August 12th

we can meet at Lincoln Harbor if people want but i know there will be people who have to pass the park to get to lincoln harbor.
if anything i can meet the people who are coming from the north at the Toyota dealer in Englewood Cliffs (miguel and tina know how to get there) and you (mac) can meet whoever else at that lot and bring them up
