yeah, theres info on the first page. we'll meet at the park around 6pm on Fri Aug 18th then cruise down to the shore. im working on hotel accomodations right now...if anyone has any suggestions let me know

edit: any input as to how far down the shore we want to go? we can go all the way down by Wildwood or stay up by Point Pleasant. if there is no preference and some people aren't sure about staying the weekend i will just find a Days Inn or large chain hotel and it will probably be in the Atlantic City area. if we stay more towards the north its mostly small inn/motels in which we could share a big suite if it's just a few of us...in which case i would need to know who is definitely staying the weekend.

...yea, we could go to the track. Island Dragway is west of the park we're meeting at and Englishtown is south and would actually be the best bet (only thing is that you guys have those rain checks from Island). in that case we should meet earlier on Fri, maybe about 1-2pm so we can hang around the park for a little while and take some pictures and/or eat and whatever else

well im figuring most people will be working friday...prolly best to have the "meet" on saturday...we'll be down in NJ or wherever friday AM sometime, so whenever people wanna meet up is fine with us.

alright. so hows this for changing the plans completely...
We meet up at the track (Island Dragway or Englishtown) on Friday, drive down to the shore from there, stay the weekend and if you guys still want to head over to the park on Sun and take pics/hang out we can do that.

As far as which track, Englishtown is definately the closer track and just makes more sense. From there its a clear shoot down the Parkway to any Jersey Shore points, a big plus. Also, it'll be interesting to see what times can be had at a better, stickier track.
As far as which beach to go to, thats up to you guys. I was at Point Pleasant a few days ago and it was really nice, but not many hotels or places to go....its alot of timeshares and rentals, and just a small-ish boardwalk. However if we could find a hotel I'm sure it would be nice, it just seemed nearly impossible just to find a damn place to eat in that town, let alone a hotel.

I will go. My gf may go with I have to talk to her about it.. we have wanted to go to the shore all summer... never got to it.. my 5gc gts gets so bad gas mileage... but I should be done this week with my 6gc (3sgte swap + lsd trans) So I'd pimp that to this meet.. Maybe stay over don't know.

I now need to source a place to get my headgasket, head studs and wireset.. since paradiseracing flaked out.
update on my parts... Just talked to the guy at paradise racing..
He told me he just got back from races in NH... and his employee or some **** never sent the package out. Said he will have it out today via fedex ground and have the tracking number to me by 4PM... I filed a paypal complaint with him for a refund but I told him if he got the # to me today I'd cancel that complaint.. so we shall see.

Thats lame, hopefully they come through and you'll get your parts. I'll be down sometime soon once I get back from my trip to Niagra Falls this weekend, and then I'll help you rock and roll with getting the motor put in. Should be a rewarding experience and you'll have one hell of a setup on your hands.

I just need the ARP rod bolts which will be here tomorrow.. then I can get the motor together.. I'm pretty close to having the transmission rear mount setup done as well. I checked the shifter cables and all is good with them... the stock GT cables work just fine for the e153.
