not yet, that fouler mod is working so far.
to be honest, I'd say they look better now than they did with the original color.

Ok Lewfx it has been a while how is the paint doing? I saw your pic and thought that that looked a lot better than the cheap chrome on mine. Also what would the "better stuff" be?

yeah apparently header paint is spose to work the best. resists temps up to 1500*, dayum thats hot
but you need to follow the directions, its like powdercoat i think.

sweet, let me know how hard or easy it is. i need to wrap mine too, i'd like to know how much it makes a difference. my hood gets REALLY hot now!

2000 Celica GTS 'slowest gts evar'1998 Mazda 626 FS-DE/CD4-E
got it today, took 40 minutes or so to put on. start at the top of one side, go down then cross onto another side and keep going down. in the end i had to wrap 2 together. pic will be on later....

well i drove around the block and it started to smoke, so i had to pull over and take it off, does header wrap normally smoke up a storm then die off?

i'd have let it smoke off in the driveway, and no i dont know if smoke is normal.

whenever i do anything to my exhaust i start it up with the hood open and let any smoke thats gonna happen just happen there while im watching it.

when u first use the wraps let it sit for a while cuz it WILL smoke.....after that, everythigns fine n dandy... biggrin.gif
okay ill put it back on tomorrow
well i drove it around til it smoked, retreated back to the carport, waited an hour, drove it around again, let her smoke a lil more...big difference with it on, feels like car is in constant O/D mode. makes car a lil too loud for my taste
did it smoke after more driving????

ill defintiely do mines soon.... wink.gif
so it feels alot stronger/faster with the wrap on? how much louder? or did it just change the tone of the sound?

ya after driving it longer, it started to smoke up a little more, now it still smells...once you hit 60+ the speed stays close to 60 and slowly drops not like before
i wouldn't wrap a daily driver

i need to keep the heat out of my engine bay before i ruin the paint on my hood! wrapping down the runners to the downpipe seems like a good way to do that.

lew, im still not clear...it feels faster wrapped? what did you mean by the 60mph stuff? how did wrapping change the sound?

2000 Celica GTS 'slowest gts evar'1998 Mazda 626 FS-DE/CD4-E
its almost like the feeling when you first put in a cai, the car is all happy happy joy joy but then comes back to earth is runs normal
ah ok! i understand. how much wrap did you use, how much did it cost, and where did you get it from?
