Made some progress today...







Hopefully, I can get it stripped all the way down tomorrow and start marking the spot welds for cutting out the core support.

Daniel: It looks like I'm going to need to replace the full core support. Depending on how hard it is to cut out the damaged one, I may want to just buy a new core support instead of having to cut out two of them....

How much is a new core support? I can't say I know from experience but I've never heard anything good about drilling spot welds. Does a new core support come with provisions to fit a 2GR behind it?

Yup. The white one has no rust. I'll just swap over the front end and engine set, and call it a day.

We'll see though. It depends on how motivated I am.

Here I am... lol

I've made some progress in the last few weeks, and we're essentially down to the home stretch.







What we're probably going to show up in:





I've gotten lazy again, but I really do want to get the car done for this meet. It may still be two colors when I roll in, or I may just redirect the meet to my house for an install day

All that's really left is to unbolt the subframe from the Lily v.1 and roll the entire engine set over to Lily v.2 for installation. Then I need to get a windshield in it.

And maybe replace the dash, so that I have airbags again....

Simple stuff, I'm just lazy.

Comfortable cars, but the few I've touched seemed like the would be damn expensive for maintenance, just for a car.
