the frs was a fun buy, figure id loose some money, and the fj will break even. i drive 5 to 6 miles to work, so dont put that many miles in them..., insurance for 2 cars, and no time to enjoy, either get rid of my old cars or this.... I will regret it in the long run, maybe, but it was fun while it lasted.
FRS has 3300 miles in one year, can you believe that?

I think you're making the right choice in keeping the old cars and getting rid of the new cars. For the time being there will always be more of the FR-S and FJ being made, and if you ever want either one back you'll be able to get them back for less. Where as the Celica and Corolla will continue to become more rare, and it seems now the the Celica especially is starting to pick up in value.
I can believe it, I only drive a few thousand miles a year. 90% of it doing 55 mph in a straight line... Anyhow...

sounds like a semi smart move. might as well keep the celicas since theyre both paid off. not to mention the vert has ton of new parts so you know its good for awhile.
im starting to get into a similiar problem myself. i love my celicas......but with as much driving as i do ( i put 3000 on my car every 2.5 month roughly) i really need to buy a new daily driver or do a full an total rebuild on every part of the coupe soon

i could sell the frs and pay off the fj and have no car payment, wee, but not really sure about that. because the car still being financed. and its a hassle to sell it to a individual. I do have a carmax here... ill have to see... but altough im pretty sure i dont have to pay taxes that will be a bummer.

FJ's are ugly though, don't you want pretty things? You already have a sports car with the Celica vert, and you have some project cars with the vintage Celica and 'Rollas. So what is it that you're wanting in a daily driver?
Also you could give eBay a shot before going through Car Max or another dealer to sell them.

id give ebay a try, if it wasnt because i dont know how to sell a car thats being financed. everyone wants tittle in hand for the sale. So i dont know if that would work.
fjs are not ugly, they are ok. Well i have the trail teams, for 2010 and it holds its value pretty good. It would be a paid off car with 100,000 mile warranty ( i paid for that)
If i cant sell the FRS like that, not getting anything sporty, will trade for a boring car, lol..
what i have is more than enough, my old cars are my bitches, lol. Ill keep you guys updated n what I do...

I've seen people sell cars being financed before, then of course you have dealers selling cars all of the time that most of the time are doing financing on them. Just have to get things arranged with whoever you're financing with for prospective buyers.

Why would you want a boring car for, that's so boring. If you insist you should get the comfiest luxury cruiser you can find, really make that 5 mile drive to work more enjoyable.
Since I'm in the market for another car as well, we can pick out a car for each other based on a list of criteria.

Extremely easy to sell a financed car.
They get money, you and them sign an agreement WITH A LAWYER that upon receipt of funds from buyer, you have 14 days to procure title from whoever, otherwise all monies to be returned to the buyer. Most finance companies allow wire transfers (same day payoff), and will express the title (for additional $$). If you can't do it in 14 days, you're a knuck.
Bought 4 cars this way, all 4 times, it was just fine. The signed agreement protects everyone.

Sounds suspiciously Camry like.
You should look into a G37 or CTS Coupe, still fun but with some luxury amenities.
Nothing worse than having a car that everyone else has, and having a good forum for the car is important as well.
I say go for it and find the TE61. After selling the FR-S and FJ you should have more than enough to pick one of them up and a late model daily. You only live once, so might as well have the things you want while you can.

Im in the same boat. Im looking to possibly sell or look for someone to take over payment so I can get a 2007+ Tundra or FJ Cruiser. Car payment sucks when you owe on a 2012 and 2013!
