Though, if you're willing to spend $207 each can get Enkei RPF1 from Tire Rack. Which is what I'd do.

and an 800 dollar budget would keep you only in the Enkei, Rota, range for the most part, Used Market or less legitimate wheel selections.

Out of all of those, the Enkei RPF-1 are the best suited for performance -- they're light, at ~15-16 lbs for a 17" wheel as compared to the 22 lbs for the tC wheels (though I have to admit I prefer the look of the tC wheels).

i have them on my car right now just got them about 2 weeks ago i am really happy with them.
I just bought some new rims for my celica I went with Rota Grids. Mainly because they are cheap, light and nice looking wheels.
I haven't got them on yet but here is a pic:

There are plenty of 7th gen Celica GT-S wheels on eBay for $100 each. Someone even has a set on there for low start bid, would go after them if it wasn't for the fact I have new tires already. Could just repaint them white.

Just a reminder that if you get the 7gc gts rims you are stuck with MAG Seat lugs only. Therefor you won't be able to buy them aftermarket acorn seat lugs. I have yet to find an aftermarket mag seat for my 7gc gts rims besides extended(closed), black(closed), or black&extended(closed). That's the only downside. kindasad.gif

nice looking rims. Yes I"ve heard and been advised by members not to buy rota wheels. If you are tracking the car then now way, but if its for dd. go ahead.

Just hate the fact that most rota rims are from +45 to +55 offset. so you need large spacers.

You'll have the same issue with the TC wheels or 7th gens, they will all be sunk in like crazy, and look brutal unless your throw a huge spacer on it.
But since you're in the market for new wheels, size them properly and you'll be able to avoid using spacers.

Im sure rota offers much more aggressive fitments like than that.
thats why they are so popular.

You can get a wheel that looks like an Volk CE28N and is offered in a much wider variety of fitments that Volk doesnt offer for 5x100's.

regardless I vote against rota's

ugh there is nothing wrong with rotas. they are never going to fail unless you're in a bad crash.
and guess what? i have both wedssports and works.
spending $3k+ on wheels makes sense on a m3 or nsx, but not on a celica.

I respectfully disagree

Rota rims come in lower offsets. I bought a set of 17x9 +33 and haven't had issues but I've read mixed reviews on their quality. Consider your budget and how much you drive the car and go from there.

That's really true. My gts rims looks so sunk in. Ima buy some spacers sometime.

i said for track, read what I wrote! 7th gen wheels don't look so bad with 205/50R16 tires. stock tire size

the reason they offer such high offsets is because they are meant for subaru's (hence a diff chassis!)

id say about 80% of the rota wheels that look good have a minimum of +45 off set and higher.

Lol there is nothing wrong with them as long as you drive like a normal person, heaps of the drifters here use them and havn't had a problem but if you go
hitting every pot hole and bump of course there not going to last.

These rotas are +32, and they have heaps that are lower then that aswell.

EDIT: They are +30 not +32 smile.gif

Buy the highest offset wheel you can find, and hope they clear the strut?

I shall call it hellasucked. laugh.gif I don't like the flush look, and the stock sucked in look is ok. I guess somewhere in the middle is where I'd like it to be.
