What do you exactly define "knock-off" as? They're not "imitations", they don't sell them as "TE37", or "Spoon", or "Gram Lights", etc...
So if I am a wheel company and I make a mesh-style wheel, I'm selling BBS knock-offs?
And no, a celica and a corolla are much alike. They share the same suspension, the same engine, transmission, most parts, etc. 4a-fe, 7a-fe Corolla, 1zz Corolla... etc

In my opinion, a "knock off" would be a product with all the brand identifiers on it trying to pass as the original. Either way, no matter how old you are, figure out your budget and how much you want to spend on your car and go from there. Good luck
