the new owner of autobac/autotoyz is the same guy that owns the company "matirx" that make a lot of cheap/ebay quality parts. heard this from a reliable source that supplies them with goods. the store was really lacking in selection last weekend and the car show wasn't really that great either. prices are still pretty much unchanged from when it was autobacs. looks like they just need time to kinda get things running right and make changes in some spots to make it a successful business.

Im still waiting on people to give me notice so that we can plan on getting something organized. people keep on asking if its going down or when are we doing this, but no one puts the days that they are available. So theres not much i can do....

I say saturday august 1st.

Cuz I get paid that friday, its a month in advance, and I can request it off.

Everyone just put dates of weekends that you are available, then we can get a concensus of a weekend we can all agree upon.

I'm in Santa Barbara county and i'm totally down for a meet as long as a good group of people go. I'll be on vacation starting 07/18 and would prefer to do it then. Otherwise weekends work best since I always have those off. We should totally do this...

yoooo wats up guys we should have a meet at the irwindale speedway.....pretty fun over there alot of cars meet up and theres alot of good races they have a king taco and drinks and funnel cakes . you can run your car for 20 bucks or watch for 10. a bunch of my friends go every other thrusday.

Bing! LOL I am so self conscious about my car lately, but I will try to roll through. I just have to worry about saving up for a Vegas trip in August and a Cruise in September, and I plan on attempting to get myself either a front clip or only the 3sgte engine this year.

Anyway, Derrick, you got my number dude. I hardly hop on daily, so maybe you guys can just text me or something. I know one of you guys sends a text every now and then, but only to say what's up and nothing after that. LOL Anyways, Text or call is the way to go. Derrick, if you got something planned for later this year, try not to wait too too long, you know that I-5/Grapevine is what determines who makes it there and who doesn't, when in rainy, or any other extreme temperatures around Fall/Winter.

Hey guys well i have a speeding ticket that should be coming in the mail in a week or so . so ill have to do traffic school sometime soon and i have till end of this month to pay it off. By then i should know what day i will have my traffic school scheduled for. So sat or sunday anytime in august im just not sure when it will be sorry...

So many peeps were all up on this before askin bout the meet! =\

august should be good just as long as we know ahead of time. we should get a date finalized asap. if its guna be in august. perhaps like the 1st (sat) or 2nd (sun) or the week after that which is the 8th or the 9th.

Also not sure if a meeting point has been finalized or itinerary.

It is california and many times we end up at the beach.... if we do an all day thing we could always do a beach cruise hit up Neptunes Net (shrimp place in fast and the furious). Then head over the hills via malibu canyon to angeles crest hwy and hit up Mt Wilson or simply find a chill spot on mulholland over looking the beach..... or head back down to santa monica peir and do that pacific park/arcade area (parking is guna be 10 bucks all day but we probably will find space for all of us together)

not sure what time neptuns net closes but if we make it early we perhaps can meet up in long beach, then cruse up to Venice to get lunch, then hit up Santa Monica for pacific park/arcades/chilling on the beach, then continue north and hit up Neptunes net for a supper kinda deal, and then if ppl are still down hit up angeles crest or find a place on mulhulland (with out getting to crazy on the canyons that is)

we could do a bbq somewhere too... perhaps up in the mountains.. however finding somewhere our cars can access might be iffy

theres also speedzone if all else fails and dont forget shooting pool in korea town and some late night snacks

ok guys. nice input, we have to get this going. Craig youve got some good ideas, i would prefer k1 speed over speedzone. although those drift cars at speed zone are fun, they just need to be a bit faster.

Ok, you guys give a good landmark to meet at (since I won't know my way), 2-4wk notice (longer the better) and I will be there. My car isn't tip top, but I don't care, so long as I know I will make the drive and have some $$$ on me for the trip. That's why I need to know ahead of time.

I am going to feel funny, my car not in tip top shape, and exterior/paint wise, not nearly as good as when you first laid eyes on her. But whatever, it is a meet, for us enthusiasts, not a frigging car show for cash.

Exactly, this isn't a car show, its a bunch of the Cali guys gettin together and chillin. My car is far from tip top, I have dents, horrible paint, and a cracked windshield ( which I am still lookin for a replacement, let me know if yall have found a celi at a pick a part, its only $40 =) )

I say August 2nd, its a Sunday, and cars are my religion. Haha.
