Sorry all, I have had no time. Long story...couple different jobs, now I am finally back to working on the car. The only thing I am missing is an axle seal for the tranny. I am going to try an ST185. I have tried for a couple months to get one from Europe with no luck. If any of our overseas Brothers (or Sisters) wouldn't mind giving me a hand, I would be happy to pay through paypal to have one shipped over.
The status of the project is that I think I bit off more than I could chew...at least at once. Ran into a snag with the wiring. I got a short in the body harness and it fried all the way into the jacks inside the car. That took some time to re-run. Actually got a harness from Supra (sorry can't remeber the guys name on here) and re-ran it and re-spliced the changes for the conversion. The AWD conversion is done except I had a bad axle seal from the shipment that won't seal in the GT4 tranny due damaged along the way. It actually runs (badly) and all moving parts of the drivetrain work correctly. I will video next time I have it running. It runs badly because I also upgraded the injectors and am upgrading the turbo at the same time. I have had a lot of help on this conversion and unfortunately we all haven't been able to hook up to finish. I have also figured out that, I need to adjust my wiring to allow for the second stage of the fuel pump to kick in through the relay. I currently have it wired to immediately run at the second or high speed. The engine is getting too much fuel with the fuel pump the way it is and the bigger injectors. I will go through and try and update the pictures or the links. After the engine is complete, I will then have to focus on re-wiring the car's interior. I had a guy wire up the security system and the stereo, and he did a hack job. Had to pull everything out and practically start over. Botttomline is that I have had some set backs, but hopefully I can get some help and keep moving forward. I would like to be done by the time TORC comes up.

Again sorry fo rthe delay. I was successful in getting the new turbo on with new FMIC. I will work on the wastegate and the downpipe tomorrow and see if ican get it to run. If I do I will post the clip with the leaking seal just to show everyone! so, how much have you spent on the AWD stuff so far? not including the 3sgte, bigger turbo, FMIC, etc. just the AWD swap stuff.
94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive
I got all the parts for just under $2k....that was everything from the tank to calipers. Only things I didn't get was the sway bars(in Europe I believe the call them Anti-roll bars). I cut a re-welded mine to fit the use for now. THis is an item I must replace before I do any real hard driving. The reason I made a point to mention the difference in the name is because I have had better luck getting used parts from over there than I have in Japan. In Europe, they seem to be parting (breaking) them, one every week. The $2k was including shipping. I would suggest you pay the extra for a fuel cell rather than go with a stock tank. It will save you the cutting of the trunk, major welding, re-build, adjusting the fill neck....etc.
I am still working on trying to figure out the wiring through the Fuel relay to have the high speed in the stock pump kick in under boost. I should have addressed this during the initial engine swap but didn't realize the second stage was not wired up correctly. I have basically all the power requirements to the relay, but none of the inputs from the ECU and nothing back to the pump itself (other than the stock ST wiring being used as low speed). Can anyone assist with this?

I have probably spent around that on all the work I have done to the car so far. Your question was the AWD portion. Because I have done it in stages and am doing it myself, there are pluses and minus to it. Plus - I saved money on labor. Minus - I am re-doing things I had done before....struts being one. I have made mistakes and had to re-do things. THe list goes on. The $5+k was a friend of mine giving me a price to do things out of his garage. I am sure if you go somewhere else, it would run you more.>

5K? wow! a lot less than I expected! I always assumed that a full AWD conversion would cost like 20K+

now you should make kits for the rest of us so we can go awd!
sell the kit to has sport or TRD and get rich $$$

I think the other guy with the AWD ST (BltnotBgt) has a better setup for making a kit. It almost looks as though you could probably make the circular piece in the rear wider and use some u-bolts for those that don't want or can't weld. I am not sure if that would be strong enough but, I am sure there are plenty of guys on here that could make the suggestions to get a kit out of his setup. Plus his is a lot cleaner! Hopefully someone on here can come up with something.

Remove the fuel pump relay all together and let the fuel pump run 100% from the COR. All you have to do is cut the yellow relay out and solder all of the blue wires together.
