This is very good info. Now I am debating between functionality (6000K) and looks (8000K). Damn it...=/

for visability 6000k will give yo the best output
invoice sent..
I just saw some pictures of the 8000K on an E46 M3 and they look TOO blue..,YAK. I am going with the 6000K...I want a whiter light with slight blue, not freaking aqua blue. Invoice read...payment will be sent right now. =)

Don’t mean to rain on everybody’s parade...but these kits are probably the worst thing you could do for your lights.

HID lights require very different optics to produce an effective (and safe) beam pattern. Not only this, but using these kits to retrofit HID into your stock headlights is illegal. This is why you will never see companies like Hella, PIAA, Philips, etc endorse their units for or directly sell kits of this nature.

I know you guys are thinking that its not a big deal, but in reality it is. Sure you get a cheap kit that looks good but that’s about it. I'm not going to sit here and type a lecture on the physics of optics, and try to come off as arrogant or anything of the sort, but just trying to inform you guys.

yea its not legal. but i dont think its the worst thing to do to headlights. the worst thing would probably to get one of those cheap (under $20) HID lookalikes that are probably dimmer than stock headlights.

anyways, heres the 8k kit from oznium

can one of the admins close this thread as this GD is over. I would like to start a new one sometime this week but do not want to confuse the other on this one.
