a shorter rod would cause the piston to come into contact with the counter balances on the crankshaft. (possibly)...
^ That's not a whine man, that's a shudder.
And it's the engine, not the trans. Too much load causes it to bog....
By the looks of it, I think it'd be better to replace the whole thing......
A new set of torque-to-yield headbolts is only like $20. And the Fel-Pro headgasket set is about $120...
a GT mount will not fit....

Broke 5 of the 6 bumper-to-fender bolts & so far driver side bolt in the door jamb!!

A leaking exhaust will cause it to lean out too!...
1. Buy donor car halfcut
2. Rebuild it
3. Install it
4. Receive torque
Feel free to add to it guys. Seemed pretty comprehensive to me....
Also rechecked the code after about a week and its still gone.I looked up the test procedure (jumping TE2 and E1) an it came back with no codes either...
best get the manual ecu, has a more aggressive tune, and no auto-related ign retardation, otherwise sure, the engine should run allright and hit boost...
He has a camry or turbo mr2 transmission though.
