Long time no post! My prior issues have been fixed. My weird stutter on acceleration WAS the timing belt, and I got that fixed, the distributor is all good, and there's just a few more issues I have before I can start upgrading the car.

What I'm trying to fix now, is a problem I've had since I bought the car. When I step on the gas, the revs go up, but then about half a second after, I feel a small rush of power. Like I get on it, it's slow, but then it just starts going.

Also, from a stop, going into first gear- I feel like it's going, but then I feel what I think is the clutch grabbing, and then it slows down. I know the 7afe doesn't have too much power, but first gear foot to the floor being that sluggish just doesn't seem right.

Could this be fuel pump? I changed out the fuel filter already, but I don't know the condition of the pump. And for some reason, the fuel light always stays on even though I fill my tank up.
