quarter panel rear fender part number - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #98062 10 posts Started by cellocinema
does anyone know the part number of rear fender(driver side, the one with gas lid)?
i'm looking for a new part, but have no clue what part number it is. i googled it but found only one for 7th gen like below.

I could be wrong but I don't think that comes as a separate piece. Looking at my car, that piece continues over the door to the roof, like it is permanently a part of the car. Also I've seen someone get hit in this area, and he had to get a bunch of expensive bodywork done instead of just swapping out a fender.

Edit - ignore me! You can indeed buy this separately

you are correct that it all comes as one, what needs to be done to replace a rear quarter of this style is the old section needs to be cut out and the new one welded in so that would be why it was so expensive for the other guy. also i wouldnt imagine you can buy this from toyota it is normally something that is from the aftermarket i have a buddy that works in parts at the local toyota i will phone him and ask if he has the part in the system

there is a part number, im too lazy to search. it will be expensive.

get a cordless angle grinder, use a cutting wheel head to the yard and cut the piece you need. Weld.

As njccmd said, best bet is to go to the junkyard with a cutting wheel and cut out of an existing car the panel you need, and then weld it onto your car to replace.

thanks. maybe gas lid discrepancy stems from model type, not production year?
