I'm still using PhotoBucket for the moment, seems I've been given an exception for some reason and I'm not going to question it. Unless it has to do with the fact my account is as old as PhotoBucket itself. Flickr or TinyPic have also been around for ages, seems most are going to Flickr.

I can't even tell if my account is working anymore on photobucket as the site doesn't load correctly (except for the adds), and then the browser lags lol.

I've had a strong dislike of Photobucket the last couple of years but I've simply carried on because so many of my pictures were already on there. This gives me a good excuse to finally make the switch as soon as my links are all broken. I have a feeling that this will be the end of Photobucket.

The most insane part of this is that they want $400 a year...
any ideas on the best way to rebuild threads after transferring the photos to another service?
(this of course could have been avoided if the photos were hosted on 6GC like alot of other forums do)

Well that or you give in to the ransom or painstakingly change out all the images after re-uploading them. You can click on their "no 3rd party" generic image and it'll take you to the actual image in the album so you know what it was, but it'd be a huge undertaking. I suspect PhotoBucket folds soon after everyone leaves and they have even less money than when they started this bs.

Only downside is that it doesn't size down to 1024x768 for you (which is nice for posting on forums). The upside is 56k warning doesn't exist anymore.

I just logged in to both of my photobucket accounts and downloaded all of my albums, then re-uploaded to my Imgur account in a hidden album.

Ended up going to Flickr since they have a mobile app for uploading and embedding links is fairly easy, though a little more finicky than what PB was. Plus Flickr is owned by Yahoo now so I doubt they'll pull a stunt like PB any time soon.

btw, registered the celica, for its first track event. Barber motorsports, aug 3. I did 90 MPH today, wow. it got there quick. (on a empty parking lot). wonder what surprises the track will bring. There will be no photos, thanks to photuchuck it
