Quick questions guys.
Can I use a 3rd gen 3sgte ignitor to run my 5sfte motor?
Having abit of ignition problems. Cars keeps cutting off at 5000rpm.
Running haltech ps1000 standalone.
Also installed the newer 5sfe oil pump for the crank sensor. Planning to run ls2 coils.
Hopefully it helps.

If you have a Haltech then you should be able to just change some settings for the coil/igniter combo you have. Probably an issue with the dwell being set incorrectly.

to answer your question, the 3rd gen and 5S use the same ignitor.
