I've been really interested in a similar set of speaker pods I saw on a members build thread. http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...mp;#entry887815

I don't really have the time and materials to build a pair of these so I'm wondering if a member here would be able to build a similar set at a reasonable price.

Most shops I've visited quote somewhere in the range of $250 ish dollars a box. Feel like there should be some cheaper options out there.

The speaker would likely be 6.5 inch subwoofers, smaller than the ones in the pic, so they could fit discretely behind the rear speaker panel and not need much if any modification to the panel cover.

If you are good with fiberglass, or think you'd be able to custom fab a set of these for me. Let me know and we can go over some details.

For a 6.5 I think you are overthinking this. Here is my setup with my component 6.5 set. Im sure you could get away with it too and just add some foam around it to seal it a bit better.

However, i'm looking to put in a true 6.5 subwoofer (possibly an 8") rather than a component 6.5 speaker. I've heard these little subs and they sound good for the minimal space.
