Recently went to a junkyard and found a 97 Celica ST with a aftermarket instrument cluster that emits different colors. Bought it for $50, I haven't gotten to installing it into my car but I need to know if they're the same plugins etc. I was curious if the years would make a difference in it because the 95 is obd1 and the 97 is obd2.

Can I swap the 2? Will it be easy? Is there more to it?

Don't swap the whole thing, just the mechanisms. For instance the speedometer is held by just four screws if you look on the back, super easy swap.
