Ill start off, I have a 95 gt 5 speed. I am the second owner purchased from original owner with all documents(orig stickers showed $15k back in 95) and lady owned.
today I have 300k original miles on original engine and transmission.

Brand new 6gc owner! (sort of 2011)The world is moving around a sun, the sun moves around a local arm of the galaxy, the local arm of the galaxy moves around a gigantic black hole.
141 on the original motor, probably 160ish on the swapped transmission but it's unknown.

About 250k on the chassis the motor has roughly 55k

Just hit 290k on my 1994. But the motor and tranny are not original, the motor has 200k on the rings and everything else has been rebuilt. The tranny came out of one with only 130k and I've put maybe 20k on it.

Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.
Had a tad over 190K on my '95 ST 5-speed before I sold it.

Have only 116K miles on original engine and transmission.

Questions to high mileage Celicas: How many have original fuel pumps? If not, what was the mileage when replaced! How about timeing belt - when did you replace it? Thanks..Celicalibre

I spent my money on wild women, partying, gambling, expensive timepieces, and my 6GC - the rest of it I wasted!

I haven't replaced my fuel pumps. For the timing belt, I did it 2x since I drive a lot, every 90K miles.

For some reason my Gates timing belt book isn't where it's supposed to be, I hate people that "borrow" without asking but anyway, but I think it's every 5 years or 100K miles for most of the non-interference Toyota engines. If yours is unknown it'd be worth going ahead and doing it to not have to worry about it, if you can do it yourself it's really not that expensive parts wise.

Replace 5sfe belt whenever it snaps. At least that's when I did mine laugh.gif

NICS -- did you ever have to clean out the front catalytic converter closest to the engine? I had to gut out a previous Celica as it became clogged at 160K miles.

Have you had to do any other major repairs with your high mileage? Curious as I intend to keep my pristine convertible forever more!

Thx...Celicalbre

No, nothing of that sort. Never touched the cats. Only heard that issue happening is on the 1zzfe mr2 spyders. The only thing that I had a bad experience is that the valve cover gasket went bad, oil got into the spark plugs and had a misfire. After fixing that, everything was good.

Main things that I did was change oil every 3k, castrol gtx high mileage. Seafoam every 6 months and change the coolant every 2 years. Warm up the engine on very cold days at least for 5 minutes. I hope this helps
