Any brand recommendations for axles other than OEM? Thanks

anything new is good, rebuilds are a crap shoot.

But the price to pay is a lot.

New doesn't mean dealer, plenty of new aftermarket axles. I just can't think of the one brand we've used a lot of at the shop because I have a headache.

I have had no luck with the autozone duralast axles. the first one had damaged threads in the axle bearing carrier, and the other one the bearing wouldnt even mate up with the axle carrier.

For my all-Trac, i have used the NAPA ST185 outters and they were good.

I got cardone axles from rockauto.
snapped right in. no issues.
but then again, I have an ST, not a GT.

I had my rebuilt OEM axles from AutoZone for 4 years(you give them your original and they give you refurbished ones) one cv boot broke, but that's because I forced it in to knuckle when I was converting to Super strut. I'm sure it would of lasted another year

A1 CARDONE, THAT'S IT. Yes, they're decent axles.

That's what I'm using in my car, bought them from RockAuto. No complaints.

I replaced mine by a shop 4 months ago and they already crapped out twice. No idea where they got the part but at least they replaced it under warranty. This will be the 3rd replacement for this year and I'd like to get it right this time before it snows.

I've read mixed reviews about Cardone but I guess they work okay on our cars based on you guys' feedback. Anyway, does anybody have experience with raxles? They are pricey but lots of good reviews from other cars.

Passenger side has A1 Cardone (new not rebuilt version). Driver side, my original axle was rebuilt. None has giving me issues (3years).
