Fuse blown? What to check?? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #95573 4 posts Started by Nphubert93
When I was putting my aftermarket head unit in, I accidentally touched the constant power to the housing of the head unit. I saw a spark and now I have no power to te constant wire. Checked all fuses under the kick panel on the drivers side, none are blown. Any suggestions? 94 2.2

Also - google around for a Celica EWD (electrical wiring diagram) Then you can follow the path of the wire.... more often than not - accessory power wires go through more than one fuse. Depending of the fuse type you might not pop the one you would expect (lower current).

Should be a red 10a fuse. Always disconnect battery when working with something electrical.. Try connecting red/yellow wires together to see if it powers.on. if it does... Than fuse isn't blown. Some cars are stupid with CD players I had to connect 2 red to one yellow and it works fine. I have one yellow not connected and I have my memory for head unit still. Yellows constant power and reds 12v.
