hey people!! i need some advice here..

iv got a celica with a 3SGE engine in it..
My oil pump kind of failed and due to that, my cons got ruined,,
anyway, im currently rebuilding the engine.

so heres the thing..
i have failed to find the oil pump in my country..so if i use the same housing for the original oil pump, and change the pump itself(the part that rotates and Actually PUMPS the oil).. Would that work ??

Please post any ideas and suggestions !!

you had a mechanical failure. the entire pump assembly needs to be replaced. the 3S-GE and 3S-GTE use the same pump. 15100-88460 is the part number
