Suspension Travel when jacking car up - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #95071 7 posts Started by chica8398
Hi All

The other day i had to jack the car up to change the front wheel, i noticed that the rear tyre was off the ground way BEFORE the front.

Yes i did have the jack at the front jacking point.

When i did the other side of the car this didn't happen.

Does this mean i have a different suspension setup ffrom one side to the other ??

I've only had the car a short while so don't know it's maintenance history.

Do you have Coilovers?

Could have a locked up strut if the suspension is all factory.

Just look at the suspension and you'll know if theyre different. Btw, the front is heavier than the rear so if you jack at a point where its closer to the rear then the rear will go up first.
