Really good Swap Shop in upper midwest - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #93157 11 posts Started by 6thcelestial
Really bummed now because I was all excited about having Dr. Tweak do an engine swap on my 95 GT. I was going to go with a 4th gen Caldina. Found out the he/they no longer do engine swaps at all, and are only focusing on wiring harnesses. That being said, does anyone know of a really good, respectable swap shop specifically in upper Midwest if need be. I would love to learn how to do all of this myself, but I have none of the necessary lifts, etc., and really no garage in which to do it. Thanks in advance.

unfortunately Tweak is not the #1 shop to hit. there are better solutions out there.

While obviously not in the midwest, we at Prime Performance invented the GEN4 swap into the MR2 and would be more than happy to help you go GEN4. We have done Celicas, Alltracs, Rav4s, MK1/2/3 MR2s. It is what we do. www.primemr2.com. We have cars shipped to us from the entire continental US. Give us a call if you would like to talk options. I hope we can help you. Have a great day.

Don't have the tools, or a lot of the knowledge needed, but eager to learn. Would be great if I knew someone near where I live that was doing this to theirs, and I could help out and learn at the same time.

but for me it's more:

I broke it, and I don't trust anyone to touch it, so I must fix it myself. hahahaha
