Radiator Fans Won't Turn on After front end collision. - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #92395 3 posts Started by 955SFE
I was involved in a front end collision. Wasn't all that drastic but it was enough to push in the A/C Condenser and Radiator. A/C Condenser and Radiator are still functional. Now to my main problem. Radiator fans won't turn on at all (at operating temperature). Another thing, engine will shake a bit more than usual at random times in idle (Rough idle?); even more when I turn on the headlights. Of course though, all those problems started after the collision. Do you guys think Rad Fans are related to the rough idle; as in something is working hard to get the fans going? What do you guys think?
Thanks.

It probably shook something loose in the engine bay. Maybe a mount is damaged. Check your plugs going to each fan. Of those are good, check the switch on the radiator (it's in the bottom left next to the lower rad hose. If these are all okay, make sure the relay is still in place. If all else fails, put power directly to the fans and see if it's the fan that's the issue.
