So just to add more to the list and just my luck i noticed that the rear window on my convertible top has begun to detach itself






I've made several calls to many upholstery shops and most of them are saying i have to replace the whole part which isnt cheap and the labor itself i was charged 800 bucks which i think is ridiculous let alone spending that or more. anyways to the point the question here is.. am i screwed here?? or is there a much cheaper solution??

its not that hard to replace that part, 6 hours maybe, ive replace the whole top for my convertible.

My rear window completely came apart from the cloth and fell down. I used 3M Glass Primer and 3M Windo-Weld adhesive to repair it. I was a bit skeptical at first, and didn't think the glue would be able to hold the tension of the convertible top. It's been 3 years now, and the glass is still holding up with no leaks at all. The bond is incredibly strong and looks just as good as new .

I purchased these products online, which were more than enough to get the job done.

Well First and foremost i would like to thank MaskedMan for the suggestion of reattaching my rear window you literally saved me a lot of money

got all the supplies to begin



prepped my car to avoid getting dirty because ive read it can be quite messy

and after all the time and effort it took me about 2 days

but i must say it almost looks new and even though i got frustrated a bit i was able to get it done

here it is now and i must say it was quite messy job i got windoweld all on my skin an it was a pain to get off but it wass worth it i got the window reattached and the glue actully looks like its very strong in holding the windshield and well yea screw paying 800-1500 bucks just for the part and the labor from those shops so again thank you so much MaskedMan

Good job! Looks great! Some parts can be a bit challenging, but I think it's well worth it to save yourself a good chunk of money. Glad I was able to help
