its not an easy things, long story short you need a differential and a cover plate from an e153...

It has been said many times that if you run the E154 without the driveshaft and rear differential attached you will burn it up.
Just sell the awd tranny and buy an E153 from an MR2 Turbo, Camry or Solara.
you wont burn anything up, you just need to design a way to keep fluid in the trans without a driveshaft in.
the cover plate is a standard part on the MR2 E153. but you will also need a differential from an MR2 or Camry/Solara.
you do NOT want to get an MR2 trans. the linkage is on the wrong side and its not worth the effort to change over. just get a Camry/Solara 5 speed trans
