Port and Polish Question - 6G Celicas Forums

Okay... so I have a general ideal of what i want to do for porting and polishing my head. I have a couple of practice heads that i am going to start working on...

Does anyone have any idea what this little casting detail is above the spark plug hole for?



it seems pretty deliberately placed....

I've never seen anything like that in other heads on other cars, I'd say it's safe to get rid of.
