OK as some of you know I just got a 08 legacy 2.5i as a new daily driver. There are a few things I'd like to do but I'm not 100% sure where to start or where to look for parts.

Biggest question so far is since my legacy is n/a do I need a retune to do a cat back an intake?. Not really looking for extra power just love the way the boxer motors sound with a good exhaust.

What's a good Subaru based forum?
Other than eBay where's a good place for parts?

Shouldn't need to re-tune it, don't have to with any other car for just a cat-back and intake. May do an ECU reset, but I don't see anything more than that being needed.

You won't need a tune.

I believe the NA subarus all have equal length (or close enough to it to not matter) exhaust manifolds, so you'll need to get a UEL header and a nice catback.



nasioc is indeed the best forum for all things Subaru.

Best place to look for parts is on Nasioc's FS/WTB forums - both vendor and private sale. LOTS of good stuff to be had.

Thanks for the info guys!
Me an the sister in laws boyfriend were talking about the header issue. It has almost the same exhaust sound as his wrx that has a known uel header. I wasn't paying all that close of attention to him but i think he said all the 2.5l motors after 07 came with the same header. Turboed or not

I'm on like 7 different forums. I think I have less than 250 posts combined on all the others. I just don't care too much for the other ones. The BEAMS Owners Group and Celicatech are cool, but I lurk more than anything. This is the only forum I can be bothered to post on more often than not.

i picked up a 2010 wrx sti over the summer and i gotta say NASIOC is good for info and such, already done alot to my suby, got the mod itch as soon as i got her lol
