I have a 94 GT. When I shift gears it feels like Im pushing the shifter over a hump. While Im driving, its not so bad. Mostly in first gear, but I can still feel it in other gears when I shift. Is it the linkage bushings that need to be replaced or something else entirely?

Have a similar issue, would be curious as to what that could be as well, as I have no idea.

Switch out to a blend of two parts 75-90W GL-4 and one part Synchromesh. Should help some with shifting and prolong the life of what's left of the synchro.

If it's an issue in all gears, I'd look at the shift cable bushings and the cables themselves before looking into any potential syncro issues. Start with the easy stuff first. Good luck and we'll hope for the best.

I've experienced this problem it's actually the transmission shifter fork going out . Try shifting in any gear while the car is stopped but with the engine on if every gear feels like the same like crap then yes shifter forks going bad
Well I got the bushings and Im going to replace them. The Syncros though... Whats the correct name for them? Im trying to find them and nothing comes up....
Synchronizers. They're inside the transmission and buying them means buying a full transmission repair kit for some $300. Then rebuilding it yourself or having a transmission shop do it. I'd try changing out to the oil mix I suggested first to see if it tames it any.
