Wash/Maintain Polished Alloy Rims - 6G Celicas Forums

What products do you guys use on your polished Alloy rims? I just received my 5zigen rims and they're in good shape just that you can tell they've been sitting for a lil over a year or so. Would like to give it a lil cleaning to get it shiny again. Thanks. smile.gif

I was told to use degreaser and I did. It worked fine but I want a product that will "buff" it.

Unless by alloys you mean mags. Mother's has a mag wheel polish, or it and the aluminum may be the same thing by now. The polishes are meant for bare wheels. Depending on how bad the corrosion is you may have to wet-sand, buff, then polish them out.

Yea after I washed it down with some simple green, tar remover, and dish soap. Lol. Came out shiny enough so yea.

When I think alloys I think mags, then again I'm an old man. Anyway that stuff is great.

nah. I'm selling my 5zigen locally. For now at least. Once I get some extra money to mount my tires onto my 5zigens then it's not for sale no more. Lol.
