Aftermarket steering wheel! - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #90541 20 posts Started by ILoveMySilly97
I've been thinking about installing a quick release for my car for the past half year. This is the setup I've been thinking about getting. I'm debating if I should go with this blue or just go simple and have black. Some suggestions would be nice. BTW, this is all for looks only. Not for tracking. Also a DD car. Planning on buying a wooden steering wheel in the future for car show/meets.

Yea I kind of thought it'll be too rice. Lol. I'm only getting this one because it's $120 shipped on eBay. I'm get a mojo sometime down the road maybe.

Fair enough then. Not sure if they make any that'll work for newer cars, but Grant makes awesome wheels for classic cars.

Yea I've looked at their products. As well as personal and nardi. A lil out of my budget for now. Lol.

I was thinking about going with a black quick release with a gunmetal lock? Since my older bro has a black nrg lock already.

Black and gunmetal would look good.

Well at least now I've found out what setup I want and the cost. Now it's either buy this set up or buy a Magnaflow 14829 and get it fitted onto my car with 2.25 piping?

Have you not done the exhaust yet?

2001 Miata LS 5-speed
Nope. All stock.

On these cars you really won't be gaining much in the way of power by redoing the exhaust. So if it's just sound you're wanting, then go for it.

It's more for looks. The stock GT exhaust looks so small. Wanted a 3" tip but kind of hard to find the 3" tip. Most are all 4" which is a bit too big for my liking but it'll do the job.

You'll never see it once you're inside of the car, I say wheel. tongue.gif

Lol. Then again. When you take pics. You don't see the steering wheel.

If you're doing interior pics you do. tongue.gif

Yeap. That's why it's all exterior now then interior. Lol.

If you're just wanting looks buy a $20 tip and weld it onto the OEM muffler. tongue.gif

I'm actually looking at the Magnaflow 14829. Has the oem look. smile.gif

I like the Magnaflow mufflers with the tips already on them. I just can't justify the cost difference though. Then again my next car will end up with side pipes... tongue.gif

Was looking and you can get Magnaflow tips for $30. Just put a tip on your muffler and buy the wheel! Optimizing! tongue.gif
