Knock knock - 6G Celicas Forums

Hey guys,
My car is throwing code 52 to me....only when the car heats up though. When she is cold she can rev and nothing happens, but the second she is at running temperatures, as soon as i pass 3000 she throws the code. Any advice before i undertake removing this sensor...(yall know it's interestingly hard to reach, but doable)
Ok guys,
Anyone have a diagram for the knock sensor circuit and some specs for voltage readings?

Today i used my multimeter (AC Voltages) on the sensor and:

At idle ~0.45V
At full rev ~1.5V

Then i proceeded to the ecu where i pulled connector b and removed the knock sensor pin. Put back in the connector and started the car.

Testing from here showed:

At idle ~0.03V
At full rev ~0.10V

So it's safe to say voltage isnt even really reaching the ecu.

So my questions are:

1. The voltages at the sensor itself....are they normal
2. What does the circuit look like? Is there something between the sensor and the ecu?

Has no one else had a code 52 thrown at em??? (My knock sensor is 18yo btw)
when you say AC voltage, were you checking AC or DC? cars run on DC

I thought that knock sensors produced AC voltage so i checked using AC voltage
I changed the sensor and all seemed fine.
I could run the car up to 15 psi easy and no problem, the second i moved it up to 18 psi it knocked and now the check light came on and im back at square one again......is it possible that knocking caused my sensor to break (which makes no sense to me)
