Okay, so I go to drive last night... no low beams, everything else works.

today I am changing bulbs and fuses... nothing

get out the test light, no power is getting to the fuse. Pull the relay, It's getting the signal and has power, so I think that is it.

phoned the parts store and they said dealer only part. Oh well, I guess I'll find out on monday.

anyone else run across this?

I've never run across it before, but it sounds like you've just about got it solved. Do you know what kind of relay it is? I'm guessing that it's probably not your average SPDT automotive relay.

Also, you may not want to use a test light to test wiring on the car, as it can damage some circuits in cars. >>

Never thought about the test light, that's a good point. I need to get a multimeter and My dad was an old-school mechanic and said to use test light.

The relay has 4 prongs on the bottom and has a toyota part number. The fuses used after it are twin 15's. I could not test the ouput of the relay because of how things are laid out.

It's not the relay, the relay powers the high beams as well. It must be the switch which is located in the steering column. Waiting to hear on the price for that.

i got a few questions

do you have an alarm that flashes your headlights?

they high beams don't work with the switch pulled back or foward?

and have you checked ever fues that goes to the high?
ive noticed that the celi has 2 fuses for more things.

no alarm

the high beams work as normal, just the low's don't work

there are only 1 fuse for each of the left and right sides, and i have checked both of them as well as the bulbs. I can not find a wiring diagram for a 6gc, but I found one for a 94 mr2 and the switch is on the ground side and if it is wired the same as that car, then it has to be the switch that is gone - which means steering column >>

I had a problem when I blew my battery up (I seem to have destroyed every part of my engine already) after we fixed it that the relay thing was burnt and wasn't giving power to the low beams but if you pulled the lever thing and held it (not where it stays, like when you flash someone) the high beams would shine nice n brite with the low beams workin, but putting it back it wouldn't work.

I got to drive for a 1/2 hour with high beams in heavy traffic through Tampa down to my house in Dade City. I wonder how many people wanted to kill me that night.

OK its not the headlight relay and I think it is the integration relay (multifunction relay that controls a bunch of different functions). >> $$$$$$$$

I am breaking down and taking it to the dealer. I don't wanna pay for an expensive part if I don't need it.
