St185 strut/st202 strut question - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #88621 4 posts Started by Trodai
Hi all!
bit of a odd question.. iv heard that a st185 strut will bolt up to a st202 hub? anyone confirm this? the reason i am asking im building a st205 and converted it to Mcphersion suspension.. Iv replaced all the front and rear bushes with poly bushings (not the roller bearing ones in the rear tho!) new drop links front and rear, new brake shoes, new pads and discs front and rear, new wheel bearings, whiteline adjustable rear arb etc.. so the rest of the suspension is in top nick, my concern is that the front st202 struts are going to be abit too soft.., I plan on getting coilovers in the future.. any help would be great..

Cheers
i put a st202 rear strut in a st182, but i have a good feeling that the st185 strut is different from a st182.

Not positive but I think all the ST18X front struts are the same, brakes are different between 90/91 and 92/93.
Rears are different between GT-4 and other 5th gen's due to the rear drive configuration. If you're swapping ST205 SS to McPherson then you don't care about the rear anyway.
