FS: Vibrant Style Exhaust Flanges - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #87728 17 posts Started by bsamps4
As some of you may know, i created my own 3" stainless steel exhaust. In addition i made 3 bolt exhaust flanges out of stainless steel that i modeled off of a vibrant performance 3 bolt flange. I recently aquired a plasma cutter, which makes producing these flanges much faster. The quality of steel im using is high and worked great with my set up, but i was disappointed to see how much vibrant wanted for their flange. They charge 26.95 per flange...
While my quality may not be as pristine we all need to realize that this is indeed an exhaust flange that will see abuse, and will never been seen by anyone...

Here is my estimated price list:

Stainless:
3" 3 bolt $17.00 shipped
2.5" 3 bolt $16.50 shipped
3" 2 bolt $17.00 shipped
2.5" 2 bolt $16.50 shipped

Steel:
3" 3 bolt $15.00 shipped
2.5" 3 bolt $14.50 shipped
3" 2 bolt $15.00 shipped
2.5" 2 bolt $14.50 shipped

Let me know what you think!
I shall be using your flanges when we do my exhaust
good stuff ben!!!!!

Only if you made a 2.25 in flange I would be so down in a couple of months
I could easily make a 2.25!
Is the price per flange mean 1 par or just 1 flange?

Yes this would be one flange. The vibrant flanges by themselves are 26.95 a piece. So this is pretty competitive.

I could follow the same pricing guide on the 2.25 as I do on the 2.5 since the material loss is nearly identical.
Another member PM'd me earlier to inquire about a package deal, which I am willing to complete. For example: he has requested 4 2.5" 3 bolt flanges, which ordinarily would be on the 60$ shipped side, but If i'm going to put together a package deal for this I could reduce that price by $10 and ship them for $50.
I'm interested.... How did you go about making your own exhaust. Did you bend it and everything?
I'm pretty handy, and feel like I could also do this, but I'm curious as to what steps you took...
Did you TIG it?
Yup i tigged it. Bought the angles and corners from www.siliconeintakes.com.

hmm..... I'm assuming even if I had a shop make a custom exhaust, they would need "flanges" anyway?

I mean, I'm getting a custom exhaust, I have to. Going with 2.5" from the cat back. Don't know if I'll put in a highflow cat, keep the beams cat, cut the cat out... but in either way, I would need several of these I think...

If a shop makes one, do you know if they buy flanges or make their own? I haven't even asked a shop yet, so this is really my first thoughts about exhaust...
A shop would likely try to throw flanges in with their quote.
I only ask because I think our TIG welder is currently non-functional .....
That and some of the stuff that was stolen last monday involved bender dies kindasad.gif
Well let me know if there is anything i can do to help out.
If the shop you end up going to trace is like the one I took mine to....they won't use any flanges. It'll just be one long pipe
