With another local gtfour.

The interior is in good shape, it just needs to be cleaned well.

I need to clean the engine bay some as it still has a bit of dust in it. I may make a panel for the air filter as well. The contraption on the top is the water to air intercooler.

A shirt I am making inspired by the car.

With a local 6th gen.

At the years first autox.

Winter wheels (I need to fixed a curbed one and paint them all one color)

And the front lip I just finished working on today. After it has some time to cure I will mount it.

This makes me miss my 5th gen.

Holy cow... that is one beautiful ST185. I'm finding it difficult to think of a better looking one. Excellent car, man! thumbsup.gif

I haven't checked your thread on the Z forums lately. It's coming together perfectly! I love my new Z and all but Celicas are my first love. I can't wait to see what's in store for your 185 after you sell the Z.

Thanks guys. I love the Z, but we have a kid on the way so no more 2 seaters for me. Once I finish the brakes, and AC I will make a push to get the Z sold. The things I am working on will likely wrap up what I do for the year.

For the distant future, I am planning a front LSD. That is if quaife comes through on our group buy. Then likely more weight reduction. Maybe a painted CF hood and roof plug. Maybe some lighter racing seats. Then of course the next major purchase will be some nice light wheels. My 17x9 fall in the 19-20lb range right now. I want to get something in the same size but closer to 16lbs. So if they are still made, I might get some advans but I am leaning towards rpf1s just cause they are cheaper to replace and going to be made a while. On top of that, I plan on maybe a GPS speedo, 205 transmission or lower final drive. Running rc fd + 2" taller tires takes away some of my acceleration fun.
remove the sunroof. but yea great looking car. 255 size tires are absolutely huge which does compensate for the 9 inch wide rims.

yea the 17 x 8 rpf1 will be good since they come with a +35 offset.

If I get the any new wheels they will be at least 17x8.5. If I get the rpf1 I will get 17x9.
makes me want to get my All-Trac finished

I've never found myself particularly attracted to any 5th gen, but that is beautiful. Must be the silver that does it...

why don't you use the gt4 calipers you are selling??!!

Because I am converting to 5x114 bolt pattern, and I found a willwood setup someone already put together for a wilwood conversion. It just makes my life easier then trying to decide what disc solution I would use with a 5x114 setup and 205 calipers. Plus this wilwood setup saves me 12lbs of unsprung weight per front wheel.

oh yea right I think I remember reading something like that. ya the gt4 calipers are old school and heavy!

Actually the 205 calipers are light for their size. They are 7oz lighter then the old 185 calipers. That is with larger pads as well. The pads are heavy. They did not seem heavier then my evo 8 calipers even though they are larger. The wilwood calipers are lighter then most on the market.
Well my order came in from 1st toyota. For what I paid for shipping, the packaging is pretty ****ty. I miss when I could get parts directly from TRD. They also did not send my wheel bearings, which I needed the most right now. I was hoping to drop off my spindles this week to get the new hubs pressed. Maybe it will still show, but who knows.

Anyhow, here is my nice new corner lights and the supra front emblem. I had to cut the top peg off, and cut 2/3's off the bottom peg. It fits well though. My old corners go into storage for those in case moments.

Just finished my front BBK. Car is done for a while.

Nice shots! Those brakes look great!

Thanks. They grab as good as they look.
So classy, it looks barely aged.

Thanks. Small update. I was experimenting with my front lip and 205 skirts. The skirts are resting on a ps'd box, so they are not as fitted as they will be when done. The rear is the concept I will have to make. I was thinking of going black till I was sick of it, then I could paint it body color.
Due to the kid and work I have been pretty busy. Likely just doing the roll center adjuster and a/c this year.
