how do you get around this? i wana play dvds without pulling up my e brake

Or you could just disconect the wire that says the ebrake is on or not. Its real easy to undue it. Just take off the center console and you should be able to see the black wire that is near the ebrake. For more info on where it is jsut read the short shifter install its in there.

i think it reads off the ebrake light, just attach it to another wire that goes on all the time.
