tire wear - 6G Celicas Forums

I have a question about the tire wear on my car.

I needed to buy some new tires a few months ago, and within 3-4000 miles they are bald on outside of tire on the driver side, and on the inside of the passenger side of my car. >frown.gif>

Do I have a camber or alignment problem? Or am I just taking turns to hard to the left?

Please help me out I need some answers this week so I can have this prob fixed before I buy new tires for my new wheels.
happened to me, i got an allignment and it stopped. thats all i can say
ya I would say you need an alignment. If the car hasn't been wrecked an alignment should fix it.
It all depends on if you lowered you car also. I would say just an alignment but if you did lower your car then it would most likely be your camber caster. You would need to get a kit for that and its farely cheap.

Go with the alignment first though and if you see a dif wear pattern in the tires after 3 weeks or so then get the camber kit

It is likely that your alignment is out of whack, but you should also check your tire pressure. If it gets low, you could be rolling over onto the sides and wearing the outside edge prematurely. I see this a lot, actually, because many people do not realize that cold winter weather can sap as much as 10psi from your air pressure compared to the summertime.

This is probably not the culprit, as it doesn't explain the wear on the inside of the passenger side, but I thought I would mention it nonetheless.
