10 amp fuse blows immediately when ac is turned on - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #84516 3 posts Started by Samuel
Spent 8 hours in the brutal TX heat trying to figure out why a 10 amp fuse blows when I turn my AC on. When I replace the fuse it blows immediately. A buddy and I looked for bare wires, and racked our brains all day. Even replaced the compressor relay and that didn't work either.

Any help or insight will be extremely appreciated. when we pulled out the ac relay the heater would blow and the fuse wouldn't pop if that helps any.

Sounds like you have a bare wire somewhere. Try checking from the ac relay as starting point.

Disconnect the compressor as a start. Turn it on to see if it blows. If it doesn't you can connect a test light inline and see it if lights. Its got a short if it does. Don't have a test light? Buy one.
