I am wanting to get new wires and plugs for my 97 ST I have not had it long and I am wanting to improve the proforance.(no engine swap NO$$$) >wink.gif> I already have a intake and working on getting and exhaust. So what you guys think???

Plugs and wires will not increase performance, but they can improve performance, not beyond stock specs; if your plugs and wires are old... new ones will slightly improve power delivery.

Ray is right guys, listen to him. We were dynoing some plug wires on our spec miata a while back and actually lost power with aftermarket 8mm wires (magnacores).
Yep, think about this, all the wires and plugs do is ignite the fuel/air mix, its the fuel burn that gives you the power, although you do need a reliable hot spark...
I have dong some looking and I have decided to go with either NGK or Nology. Could you guys give some imput on these companies?

I do have plans for more that just wires. I did look at your link but i could not access them i don't know why. Most of my upgrades right now are for the exterior but while I have the money I figured I would do what can. What would you recomend keep in mind that I am college student with a limited budget?

thanks for your imput

Yes it is hard but I am take it one mod at a time the little things first. I am just going to stick with OEM wires STs are meant to look good and not road weapons.
But anyway thanx for you info

I have nology wires on a pretty much stock engine...it was a mistake...other than to replace my old ones and have a cool new color under the hood. If you're expecting power out of wires on a stock engine, you're expecting the wrong thing.
