As long as they're adhered properly should be fine. Use alcohol to de-grime the surface etc... before mounting. Sun visor looks interesting, would like to have seen a picture of it on the car. Have used 3M pads to hold deer whistles onto the front of my brother's car in the recesses of the bumper. I want to say the JDM roof spoiler was held on by adhesives as well.

im curious to see how it would look. I did a photochop of the fins on my car a while back but I was steered by the community not to do it.

The visor will stay on. I've had it installed before on mine, and waiting to install another one once I get the car painted.

It has an adhesive patch on the parts that sit on the hatch, there is also 2 clamps that go on each side that hold it further to the hatch. 2 screws on each side. No drilling or modifications required. Stayed on my car going...faster than the speed limit.
roof spoiler looks awesome and should hold up fine. I've been driving mine winter and summer with no problem. just make sure u clean the area where the tape is gonna be real good. i didn't on one side and it's popping off but it's not gonna fly off.

shark fins. I'm not sure about yet. depends on what other mods you have on your car exterior-wise.

Okay. Thanks for the advise. I'll remember to give the whole car a wash and then give the adhesive area an extra wash before installing the roof spoiler.

The fins, all I have exterior wise is nothing much but the TRD side skirt, curren spoiler, and it's on AG lowering springs. I know they look nice on boxy cars like Corolla's, TC's, Is300 and so on. But I never seen them on a "long" car?

personally my opinions on the fins is a bit of waste of money.
Im going to get the wing myself
Wish someone made one of those for a coupe too frown.gif

I think a member did a while back. If memory serves me correctly (it usually doesn't) they used a roof spoiler from a BMW 3 series they got from eBay for like $30.

Edit: memory didn't completely fail me smile.gif Clicky.

You should combine the 2!!!

I nvr used tape on mine and it holds great even a HIGH speeds, then again mine is also the real deal.

I bet in a Celi with the right setup, it would look the part.

Yea. It actaully looks nice but it's too tiny. I want a lil bigger one. Lol.

What's the part number for the real deal and is it OEM or is it aftermarket? It looks nice on your car. I'm hoping I'll be able to fix my mechanical issues that popped up then buy a roof spoiler SOON! biggrin.gif

man only the OEM version is worthy of being the only roof spoiler on our cars by personal opinion.

Wonder what effect it has on the stability of the car. We really need to find someone with access to a wind tunnel kindasad.gif
just generically looking at it, it seems like it diverts wind off the top making the original wing almost useless.

Yea it does but I got for looks. Don't really mind about the performance. Since I don't race or need that power. I only use my car as a commuter. Lol.

I'm on the fence ... I'd like to see one color matched to the body. I think that might be pretty damned sexy.

I think it looks way better color matched to the car!

I like it black and no color matched. Black has a more Street look compared to a Show car look. Lol.

Ok. So I finally got around and got some cash! I ordered the eBay Hi-C roof spoiler and it's suppose to come in by the 28th! Can't wait for it! I'll post up pictures when I get it!

Goods: It looks nice and it's stuck pretty good.
Bads: Didn't come with clip(but the adhesive was amazingly strong) and didn't sit perfect
Overall: I say it's pretty good considering how hard it is to get genuine parts for our cars. Installation was easy. Washed my car. Wiped are dry. Applied the Adhesive primer. Peeled back the adhesive protective tape and put it on there. Sits strong. Spent about 94 dollars after cali tax. + free shipping from South Cali.

Here are the before and after shots:

no clips? that's strange.

i'd be a little scared with just adhesive but I guess my adhesive has held up ok.

looks great by the way.

Yea. I emailed the eBay seller about the clips. The adhesive is amazingly strong but I dont know how it'll hold up against the highway wind force. When I first put it on. I put it on crooked. So I had to put some muscle into it. To peel it off. I was scared I might break it considering how much force I was putting into it. Lol. Well, ima take it on a highway run tomorrow. Hopefully it'll hold. smile.gif

Looks great!

I have a coupe and was hoping i could do the same to my own car. Going off of what the ebay link says, it should fit a coupe as well.

Do you guys think i should trust ebay on it? Or is there no way that this product would fit a non-hatch?

EDIT: Never mind. It does come with clips but somehow it didn't come with my shipping. Contacted the seller and the seller is sending me the clips. smile.gif

I always thought all our celicas were hatchbacks or convertibles only? Lol. I mean I can tell the difference between the civic hatches and coupes but our celicas? The all look the same besides the convertibles. Can you shoot me some kind of idea on how to tell the difference? BESIDES reading the manual. Lol.

Celica has been available as a liftback or coupe since the very beginning. The front is the same, just the doors back is different.

Damnit i was really hoping it would. Ever heard of there being window spoilers like such that will in fact fit the coupe?
