I'll be keen!

Whoa, been fairly inactive lately or would have checked in right away. Theres so many Celicas out there, well atleast there is in Auckland. Really need to spread the word more about this site, I'm sure everyone could find use for it in one way or another. Maybe have to print out some flyers.

Looks like my Celi is the slowest listed hahaha.
Just got my first Celica so keen on any meets to learn more and check out other Celica's.

Woops also just needed to enable email notification of replies.

Oh yeah Auckland based.
welcome, what type of celica have you got?

just take a clear picture of the chassis plate in the engine bay and pm me it, and i'll tell you what you have if your not sure

I'm not actually sure whether it is superstrut or not haha atleast the mechanic seemed to think so but I wouldn't personally know. Anyway to easily check? And I'm guessing it's a SS-II since it's 3S-GE, just guessed from reading the 'JDM Engine Specifications' but it may not be? To be honest I don't really know much about my Celi, just love it smile.gif. As for the gear ration; again, I don't know haha but it is very nice to drive, defiantly fast enough for me. Sorry for not knowing much d:
There's an easy way to tell from the engine bay, but I'm keeping it secret until I finish my new updated ST202 info thread

For yourself to find out turn the wheel and it should look something like this

that's all good, enjoy driving it smile.gif

Sorry for keeping this discussion on the thread haha, but I just checked and yeh it looks pretty similar to that. Also found a sneaky way to find out when I was going through the forums, some models have "super strut suspension" on the rear of the back window as a small white sticker. Only remnants are left on mine but I think I can just make it out to say that smile.gif More alarmingly when I had my wheel turned I think I noticed CV damage -_-" time for another check up at the mechanics I think, anyway thanks for your help and on the topic of this thread I would still be very interested in a meet someday.

Yeah, best to get it sorted. no worries that's what this topic is here for, its difficult finding a central place for everyone to meet up, but at least you get to know who's in your region/area.

Would anyone be interested in a meet at Manfield at some point?

There is a Playday on September 14th, for anyone that doesn't know it's basically a take anything on the track fun day.

Hah Ill make sure to give you a toot if I see you, us Cantabrians gotta stick together to get through these rough roads.. They're killer! Hit a pot hole this week and have to get a new tyre and straighten my rim. But would still be keen with a meet someday, even if I'm on four space savers wink.gif
