Rust art - 6G Celicas Forums

There was some talk about this before, but it was more along the lines of stickering.

I find this the more interesting alternative. This is an example of what my co-worker did for his Jetta.

What are your opinions on it?

Rat-rods, yes. Anything else, no. I just don't get it, what's so appealing about rust? Rust is cancer for cars. Maybe I just like shiny things too much.

Not saying it looks bad but i dont get it
Normally you do whatever you can to stop rust.
But with this your causing it. Me personally i wouldnt do it

Unless i was building a ratrod lol

doesnt suite our body style. it'll only pass on Euro car and Rat rods.

I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
The artwork is pretty cool. Kinda reminds me of Coomers chalkboard mobile, but rustier.

JDM guy made me do it.
Yeah, I'd never do it on our cars.

**** yes!

It's a Euro thing..

Personally, I like beetles that look like that, or Ghia's.

This is a form of "aging" that I really like:

The Beetle probably looks cool that way. It's old enough though to deserve that rust. It fits. You're not going to convince me that a 20 year old BMW is going to be covered in rust front to back naturally. Unless it was left out in the tundra or at the bottom of a lake.

Not my thing! but if you like it then cool.
I'll have a shiny paintjob over a rust bucket anyday smile.gif
