so i want to rebuild my alternator, replace the brushes. the only thing is i cant find a part number for the brush. i did a search and found that toyota used the same brushes for alot of vehicles, i thought about ordering a couple to see if they would work but i wanted to check to see if any one here as had this problem

i used the same brushes that was meant for my 94 GT-S on my dad's 91 pickup and they were identical. only thing is the alternator shaft was worn down from the 20+ years of continuous brushing and had to be rebuilt at a shop.

did the brushes and springs come with the holder
