I had always loved leather hood straps.
What are the opinions of it being on a 6gc? It would look best on a black one

I don't know, to me leather hood straps belong on vintage British cars. Might work for the 6GC, don't know. Guess can get some strips of leather, place them and see how it'd look to get an idea.

Im going to see what it would look like. But this is more something reserved for cars pre 1975. And my future car that meets those requirements isnt going to be in my grasp for at least another 3 years or so.

No, only because the straps would be placed, per those pictures, at the non-latching end of a 6g. Not a good look. Now make the hood front-hinged, then you've got a good idea.
