Hi Guys,

I have a set of TRD mudflaps that i want to fit to my 6GC but where i have the TRD kit fitted they dont sit as i expected.

The TRD logo's on the flaps sit's quite high up almost obsured by the kit.

I was wondering if any one had already done this and if so had pictures of that it looks like?

so as not to start another post, but how hard is it to obtain a Tom's Lip for the 96-99 Bumper. I currently see one on ebay for $300 plus another $150 for shipping. Is that a good price. Can we replicate these like the c-one lips??? in a group buy?

to the OP, they way you described it.. I dont think there's a work around to the problem. the mudflap design seems to be with no rear splitter. so with the splitter the trd logo is obscured.

maybe extending the mudflaps by possibly making brackets of some sort that bolt onto both the mount point and the flap?

ok i've fitted them and they look well ok but not quite the dangling low rally look i was hoping for

I would imagine TRD mudflaps were not designend to be used with a car fitted with sideskirts.
They wouldn't really be usefull on a rally car, because they create less ground clearance.

i guess your right but i am being greedy and want both

if i can fabricate a bracket to lower them it will look the muts nuts

Sparco is where it's at! (I don't think those are real TRD ones :\ )



Can you mount them lower? Or are they just too tiny?

okay....TRD never had mud flaps...so im guessing those are flaps with vinyl sticker on them or custom made logo on...besides, i had that same problem....don't mount to the very top hole...ill take some pics and show you what i had done to make them fit right, lowered or unlowered, it wouldn't matter as long as you put it on correctly...I had to make some customize brackets to keep it at a firm hold....ill try to post them up later...when i first did the mounting, mines looked similar to yours.


With aftermarkets...they look like they're soooo simple to just plug and play, but you'll have to def mod the holes....heck, i had to redrill the holes and measure to the mounting to my likings. spend a little time adjusting and drilling and in the end...they'll look REAL GOOD.

I wanted that almost draggin on the floor look as my car isn't lowered, there are other holes on the flaps so mabe i'll try reporsitioning

sorry i forgot about this...someone stole one of my flaps (probably trying to get the rest but failed)...don't know when it happened...ill provide a sad pic for you for sure....if it weren't for this thread, i wouldn't have known.

**Keep in mind, the rear, i had to measure the length of the flap to the mud guards' positioning holes and re-drill the holes in after i have already made sure how much I wanted the flaps to stick out; used washers to cover the pre-drilled holes** the front fitted just fine which i used all three mounting holes...the rear, i ONLY used the two lowered bolt holes...not the top bolt hot. made custom bracket for all four which goes on the bottom for rigid support so the flaps wouldn't flop around too much if that makes sense.**

idk if you did it wrong or i did cause i have mine all boxed out on the end for the sparco ones. like i have the slanted side on the inside
